AT KAVE HOME WE FOCUS ON EVERY STAGE OF OUR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TO IMPROVE THE IMPACT OUR CHOICES HAVE ON PEOPLE AND THE WORLD WHICH WE SHARE.
From the careful selection of materials to strategic alliances with committed partners, as well as certification through specialised institutes. Each step reflects our firm commitment; we have set out to meet the highest standards and adopt responsible and innovative practices.

We quantify our impact
In line with our UNE-EN ISO 14064-1:2019 certification, we have calculated our carbon footprint in order to understand and mitigate our environmental impact. This analysis has given us a deep understanding of our operations, paving the way for more sustainable and responsible strategies.
We follow a climate action plan to reduce and offset our carbon footprint, which has been verified by ClimatePartner.
The Climate Action Plan has allowed us to identify the sources of our emissions in the three corporate scopes, apply effective strategies to reduce these emissions and compensate for those we were unable to reduce through mitigation processes. This process enabled us to achieve climate neutrality in scope 1 and 2 emissions during the operational year of 2022, and we are committed to replicating and improving these practices each year in order to comply with our commitment to sustainability. Find out about our plan in the ClimatePartner programme here.
FSC® Chain-of-Custody Certification
Through our FSC® certification, Kave Home forms part of our forest products’ certified supply chain. Granted to us for the first time in 2021, this certification is awarded by the international NGO, the Forest Stewardship Council. This achievement underscores our overall commitment to traceability and sustainability in the supply chain, ensuring that our wood is gained from controlled logging, while supporting biodiversity preservation and promoting responsible forest management.
United Nations Global Compact
We are proud to form part of the UN Global Compact. We are committed to working ethically, respecting human rights, caring for the environment and fighting corruption.

A second life of our products
At Kave Home, we implement a circular approach that focuses on the reuse of products used in exhibitions, photo shoots and events, as well as returned items. We have given a second life to more than 100.000 products already, sold via our Kave Centers.

A zero net emission company
We are committed to being a zero net emission company by 2050. During the operational year of 2022 we have already achieved climate neutrality in scope 1 and 2 emissions and we are committed to replicating and improving these practices each year in order to comply with our commitment to sustainability. Find out about our plan in the ClimatePartner programmehere.
Packaging made from recycled materials
We plan to be using 95% recycled materials in all our packaging by 2025.
100% certified wood
By 2030, our goal is to ensure that 100% of the wood used in our furniture is certified and sourced from responsibly managed forests.
JUST LIKE STYLE AND QUALITY, WE WANT SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TO BE A FUNDAMENTAL ASPECT OF OUR BRAND AND PRODUCTS. WE ALWAYS WORK WITH A FOCUS ON CREATING RESPONSIBLY DESIGNED PIECES.

The lifecycle of our products
Our Circularity Department focuses on the durability and circularity of the materials by ensuring that our products have a long life through responsible practices and resource recovery.

Ecodesign
Guided by ecodesign strategies, our product designers follow principles that address environmental issues, such as choosing sustainable materials, product lifecycle and minimising our ecological impact. This promotes a more conscious and environmentally friendly design. We stay true to our principles:
- Design and manufacturing processes for high-quality products, that are structurally sound so they can support the weight and tension they may be expected to bear.
- A preference for renewable, recycled and biodegradable materials which are also easy to maintain, in order to extend the useful life of the product.
- Application of a modular design: the ability to separate components and easy to dismantle.
- The use of uniform, homogeneous materials and limited use of composite materials.
- Minimalist designs with clean, simple lines allow us to reduce the amount of materials used, which in turn helps to reduce the weight of our products.
Natural, recycled and recyclable materials
Our philosophy defends the importance of the materials in every piece we create. We deeply value the choice of natural, recycled and recyclable materials, forming a fundamental part of our identity and our commitment to a design that respects the environment and lasts over time.
Wood: The natural warmth and versatility of wood add unique charm and character to our designs.
Stone: The solid nature and timelessness of stone offer a lasting elegance, bringing stability and a distinctive touch to our products.
Metal: The strength and suppleness of metal bring sophistication and modernity to our pieces, which at the same time allows us to create bold and durable designs.
Fabric: We work with materials such as 100% recycled polyester to combine responsibility, comfort, softness and warmth.
Natural fibres: The lightness and the connection with nature of our fibres give them as sense of freshness along with a relaxed style, contributing to create a cosy atmosphere.
Glass: The transparency and luminosity of glass give our designs delicacy, enriching them with a modern and clean aesthetic.
The certificates that endorse us
We have certificates that support our commitment to the environment and we assess our environmental impact through external audits. This guarantees the transparency of our procedures and ensures that they comply with established environmental standards.
BREEAM Excellent rating
Our newly opened logistics platform has been awarded the BREEAM Excellent Certificate. It reflects our commitment to adopting environmentally friendly practices in every aspect of our logistics operations, from design to resource management, thus helping to reduce our environmental impact.
FSC® Chain-of-Custody
Having the FSC Chain-of-Custody Certificate means that we have established a rigorous and verifiable tracking and control system to track the origin of the wood used in our products. This certificate ensures that each stage of production complies with the standards set by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), ensuring that the wood comes from responsibly and sustainably managed forests.
Oeko-Tex
We request the OEKO TEX STANDARD 100 or OEKO TEX STeP certification of all our fabric and textile suppliers, to ensure products do not contain substances harmful to health, thus ensuring the quality of our textiles throughout all stages of production.
Calculation of our carbon footprint
Understanding where we are right now is key to knowing where we want to go. Calculating our carbon footprint in accordance with rigorous and transparent standards allows us to reduce our carbon footprint straight away, thus making the right decisions in key areas. (The calculation has been carried out with the participation and supportof Inèdit Innovacio S.L., audited by DNV – Supply Chain and Product Assurance.)
